Angoulême is the nearest large town and is 40 mins by car. The property is well situated for visiting the wine growing regions of St Emillion, Côte de Bourg, Côte de Blaye and other appellations. Nearby airports are Bergerac and Limoges (Ryan Air and flybe - 1½ and 2hrs) as well as the major airport at Bordeaux (Air France, BA and now Easy Jet from Luton). The closest ferry port is St Malo (5 hrs) and Caen and Le Havre are around 8hrs by car. Calais and Boulogne are about 10 hrs. There is a TGV station at Angoulême which links directly with the EuroStar at Lille.
